I’m Afraid to Start Modifying My Jeep Gladiator
I want new wheels and tires for my Jeep Gladiator. The stock five-spoke wheels on a Sport S are so boring that I think about them at night when I’m trying to fall asleep. And yet, aftermarket truck wheels generally look like they were designed as props on Mad Max: Fury Road, with lavish bro filigree of exposed bolts and spikes and garish contrasting colors. “Hey, look at me!” they say. “I spent two paychecks on a set of wheels from the Chud MegaOctane lineup and increased my unsprung weight by 15 pounds per corner.” American Expedition Vehicles makes some wheels that are the exception—tasteful designs, made in Italy—but they’re…

Hill wins Xfinity race in Atlanta to continue dominant start
HAMPTON, Ga. (AP) — Austin Hill continued his dominant start to the NASCAR Xfinity season, holding off Daniel Hemric at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Saturday night for his third win in five races. Hill overcome a record-setting day of cautions in doubleheader Xfinity and truck series races. There were 11 cautions, the most for an Xfinity race in Atlanta, knocking out 12 drivers. Hill previously collected Xfinity wins at Daytona on Feb. 18 to open the season and at Las Vegas on March 4. Hill, a native of Winston, Georgia, added a home-track win to his strong start for the Richard Childress Racing team. The final caution came with eight…

In fact, Byron said Saturday, there’s even more on the line. Drivers of the Hendrick Chevrolets want to show the strong start to the season is not the result of illegally manipulating NASCAR’s rules. NASCAR slammed Hendrick Motorsports on Wednesday with the largest combined fine on one team in series history for allegedly modifying louvers, which direct air through the hoods of cars. The penalty included a combined $400,000 in fines — $100,000 to each of its four crew chiefs…

Fontana start time, TV, live stream, lineup
Prepare to get a little nostalgic. Sunday marks the last NASCAR race at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California, until at least 2025. And when (or if) the series does return, the facility will look dramatically different. Plans had been in place to transform the 2-mile oval located in California’s Inland Empire into a short track though the timetable has been delayed. New reports surfaced this week that NASCAR has closed on a major real-estate sale of dozens of acres of land on the site. The only certainty is that next year there will be no race at the track formerly known as California Speedway for the first time since it…
